Would love to have the ability to sort using a column that contains non-numeric data like icons. (Also possible that it can be done, but I have not discovered how, yet.)

Hi Tim, thanks for your kind words.
There is a way to do it, it involves assigning a numeric value to those icons first so that iDoceo knows how to sort them properly.
You will find a very thorough article here but it is focused on performing calculations with those icons.
You can skip most of it, the basic steps are these:
- Create a grade type called 'icon values' for example. In this grade type, assign a value to your icons. Any number will do as long as each icon is different. (double tap header > grade type > edit add > numeric grade type > icons)
- Assign this grade type to the column you'd like to sort (double tap header > grade type > icon values)
The sort function will now take into account these icons

Wow! That is a great work-around that I know I'll put to good use. Just another example of the power and flexibility I was talking about. As far as the kind words go, you have more than earned those -- you've really done your homework (and loads of extra-credit, as well!). If you were in my class, you'd get an "E" for exemplary!
