Hide attendance columns automatically

Is it possible to set attendance columns to be automatically hidden in the gradebook? I know how to do it manually, but then you have to do it for every class and every time you add a new column.

You should probably create those attendance columns in a separate tab if you want them hidden.
As a possible alternative, tap on Tools (top bar) > Columns > Select your attendance columns and tap on hide.
When you have a chance, let me know why you'd like to hide them and I'll give it another thought

How would I create a tab, and how would that affect adding attendance from the seating chart?

I want them hidden, because when I look at my grade book for report cards, I don't want to see attendance as part of my grades. I want to see only the actual assessments I've entered.

From the gradebook view, tap on the tab with a white plus sign.
The seating plan will work with the last tab you did select in the gradebook.
