Can't import class list was created by Ali
I have followed the instructions about importing sets into iDOCEO, but when I open the .xls or .csv file in iDOCEO from Numbers on my iPad, I don't get the option to create or append to a class: instead I can only save the file. What might I be doing wrong?

Hi Ali,
With the most recent version of Numbers, they changed the XLS format to XLSX which isn't supported in iDoceo yet.
If you save it as CSV instead, you'll have no trouble importing into iDoceo

Thanks, Bert, but I have tried .csv and I still only get the option to save in iDOCEO. According to the user guide on this site, I am supposed to get a dialog asking me whether I want to create a new class or append the data - I don't get this at all, which is the issue. I had already spotted the issue about Numbers in another thread.

The CSV export from Numbers didn't work in the previous version, but they solved it in the latest 2.0.1 for iOS7, are you working with this one?

Because the file extension is neither a CSV or XLS and iDoceo can't recognize it as a class to be imported.
If you save it in Dropbox / Google Drive you'll see the file extension Numbers is really exporting to.

So, how do I do it, then? Can you please give me a workaround? I am new to iDOCEO and have not been using an iPad for very long. Thanks in advance!

The first step is knowing what Numbers is doing with that file.

From Numbers, export to CSV and Open in Mail for example.
If you don't have any inconvenient, send it over at support@idoceo.net

Worked it out. It doesn't like a document with more than one tab in it. Remove all tabs except the first and it's fine. At least I know now. Thanks for your help!

I should have known this one!
If you export several tabs as CSV it creates a ZIP file instead with all your CSVs inside.
Our next major update will directly import XLSX so hopefully this will be the last time you deal with this...
