Averaging an icon and text grades

Hi,
Firstly, may I say thank you for all your hard work and upgrades, our staff are loving idoceo!

Looking towards reporting time and I was wondering if there is a way I can get a column to acreage or count the type of icons I have, ie the pupils get a green / yellow / orange or red for each piece of work and I would like to know what the number of each they have so I can average it. Also, they get an effort grade (customised, which does have a value eg A+ = 100%) .... Is there any way of finding out a pupil's average? I've tried but to no avail!

I've just prepared this article here explaining how to count icons.
The example counts all the 'stars' in a page, but you can add as many 'icon counters' as you need to.
In regard to that final average, I'd need a bit more detail, if you don't mind elaborating a bit more ... I'll see if it can be done. I'm afraid you'll need a conventional division, which isn't available yet, but when you have a chance let me know the specifics.
