Name duplication!!!!

Hi Idoceo,

I have a mark sheet created for my class when I import a new sheet in for said class it duplicates the names? Is there a way in which I can prevent this??

Hi Rachel,
When importing data into a preexisting class, the imported names must exactly match those of the original class (if you want data to be appended), it may be a difference in some Capital letters ,some space , or a comma in between which can trick the app into thinking they are in fact two different students.
If you still can't spot the difference, please let us know, or if you don't have any inconvenient, send us a backup and the file you're trying to import at support@idoceo.net

Hi that's what I thought! It's very strange as they were made off the same spreadsheets. What can I do other than redoing the sheets?

I have worked out what it is, it is students that have a note on them in their details.

It is the first column of the file what is taken into account to match the names, not sure about the details issue...
Anyway... if I can be of further assistance, let me know

Is there a way to copy and column and its contents to another class!?

I'm afraid it is not possible in the current version... but we've just implemented it for our next major update, you're not the first to ask for this and it seems an obvious requirement now...
