copy marksheet from 1 class to another? was created by Nkrista
Hi Bert,
When you try to copy a marksheet from 1 class to another another class it only copies the format of that sheet and not the data. Is this a glitch?

Hi Nick,
It is not a glitch but I guess what you're trying to do, and we'll improve that in our next major release. It is something that has been requested already.
Let me explain a bit ...
Theoretically each student in a class is unique (has a unique ID), so copying a marksheet from a class to another wouldn't work "out of the box" as there is no unequivocal way to match the data from one student from a class to a student in another one.
In practice its a different story ... and because of some very specific needs, we are going to add that feature by trying to match the names from one class to the other one thus copying format and data together.
Hope that solves your issue

By the way... I forgot to mention that if you export to a CSV and import it into a different class it will try to match the names in the CSV file with the current names in that class so you'll be able to move a mark sheet "into" a different class (but this time no format will be transferred.
