Hi the app is superb and just gets better.

2 things I would like to see.

1-the ability to start the week on Sunday as I work overseas. This would apply to the schedule and calendar so that Sunday is at the start.
2-the ability to print an individual students information or export / mail it. For example to include name, class, annotates and test results. This would be very useful at parents evenings.

Many thanks and keep up the great work!!

Steve

Thanks for contacting us Steve,

The first point you mention should work already! iDoceo is supposed to use your iPad's system settings to decide wether to start on monday or on sunday.
Give it a look under (System) Settings/ International / Region Format.
Your calendar app in the iPad should work the same, let me know if you can't solve it

The second point is on its way, it was an important feature we left out of 2.5 because we passed our deadline. Count on it for our next major update.

Kind regards

Thanks very much for the reply. I will have a look for the first point. The second...I can wait for this no probs...as a work around I have created a column and then have added annotations to this, then filtered the student to build up their annotations. Works fine until the update.
Cheers

I'm so new to this these maybe in already...

I need to have the ability to add a third or fourth icon to the quick attendance. One tap is here two taps is away (x) three taps not prepared four taps...., rather than having to add the icons separately. I should be able to default the attendance to work like for all classes.

If we use levels (1-4) can I input that instead of a numerical value? And yes have that as a quick add on from the main screen?

This is a very impressive program, highly recommending it to fellow teachers.

I will think of more!

First, let me say I love your app! It is the only school organizer made for teachers that works for a homeschooler too. And the homeschool apps are just not powerful enough. Yours is awesome, and I have recommended it to the public school teachers and homeschool teachers whom I know.

Here are a few suggestions that I would love to see in the next release:
-- Include a place to add a "title" at the top of each schedule, so that I can name each schedule page.

-- Most important: Include the ability to have more than two schedules! I use each schedule for a different child...luckily I only have two in school now...but my 2 year old will be in Kindergarten in a few years...ok, I am a bit early, but I thought I would ask now! :>

-- Any way to create an option that allows an alarm to ring at the beginning and end of scheduled classes? I am trying to keep on track with time management, and this would help immensely.

-- Is there a way to add a time tracker, maybe attached to each tab or each attendance check. I need to keep track of instruction hours for my State's homeschooling rules, and I don't believe there is a quick way to do it now. That would allow me to run an attendance report and have the time spent per tab (within each class) automatically calculated based on the number of attendance checks I include.

-- I know you mentioned in an earlier post that you would provide a sort of a "hide" or sort option for students...I second that idea! I would love the ability to only show certain students within certain tabs. Thank you for that!

-- Finally, I am having trouble with the "text and icon" option within the column editor. I had hoped that if I chose that option, I could type in a number score, say for a test, and then choose the green check mark as the icon, and that column would then provide data for a grade (the text) and the attendance (the check mark). But the green check is not included in the attendance tally, unfortunately. Which means in addition to recording a score for the test, I have to create a separate column for attendance. Once you get into a busy school year, with lots of columns, it makes separate attendance columns out of order and more work...I must be OCD, because it drives me crazy...just wondering if there is a way to make all "green checks" no matter where they are in a tab or column equal to a "yes" for attendance.

Thanks so much for such a high quality app, and for the ability to make a "wish list"...I certainly appreciate all your work, and will rate you highly in the appStore.

Welcome to iDoceo ultim8rep,
The first two suggestions are kind of linked to an important feature we'll have in our major update. We'll try to add a calendar which will allow you to configure several schedules and specify its periods along each term.
We're trying to avoid overcomplicated configurations to start using iDoceo... and I really like the idea of simply adding more schedules ... we'll see how it turns out. It's kind of difficult to meet the one-size-fits-all solution for this...

-- Any way to create an option that allows an alarm to ring at the beginning..

I like this one, noted!

-- time tracker feature

This one is a great idea but it will be difficult to implement with the current layout. Noted !
If anyone else likes this one, please upvote!

About the attendance check mark

It is something we're still working on ... The only way for the app to recognize a column as an attendance column is by its 'Editor' .
The initial idea was to have a separate tab for attendance so they did not mix with assessment columns, but maybe adding an option to hide/show all attendance columns at once will do.
We have to keep certain 'issues' for backward compatibility and they take some time to improve, but count on it.
Another thing you may try: instead of creating Text/Icons columns, create attendance columns as usual. You'll have the Text/Icons editor available upon a tap&hold in every cell ... it will be slower than a double tap, but all the info will be in the same cell.

Thanks for contacting us, don't hesitate to post new suggestions!

Thanks Johnuren,
The attendance icons configuration still needs some work, we'll try to include those additional settings!

Hi, I'm loving the app so far and with a week of use during the new school year it has got a workout!

I'd love the schedule to link to the diary? So the diary page shows the classes for the day (in schedule order) that I could print/email for my substitute teacher when I am away? And also when a class doesn't occur on a day, it doesn't appear in the diary?

Thanks for all the current great features!

ETA: Just read a little further into the forum and realised this is a work in progress already, not sure if it will be able to be exported?

Hi Kylie,
Yup, you'll be able to export it in different formats and one of them will hopefully look like a conventional paper planner. We've been collecting some samples to create our own.
If you'd like to share a sample sheet of planner, send it over to support@idoceo.net and we'll have it in mind!
