Can I display first names only?

Hello everyone,

Sorry if this has been answered before, I searched but couldn't find this particular answer. I'd like to only display the student's first name (and middle if they have one) on my list, because the last names clutter things pretty bad since they're all Latin American students and have two to four last names alone (plus their first names and middle names, some have three names + four last names!). Is it possible to keep the last name (surname) information but not display it on my list? Thanks in advance for any help. I really appreciate it!
