Video captured but forgot to press use video

I've taken a great video of some group work but just closed the lid on my iPad before pressing Use Video. The app then crashed and the video was gone when I opened the software up again. Is there some way to retrieve this video? Is it possible that the default setting is to use the video (even if the lid is closed or ipad put to sleep) and you have to say not to use it if you don't want it attached to the grade book?

In order to retrieve this video before recording anything else
- Install iExporer in a PC or Mac ( link here )
- Connect your iPad to that computer
-,Open iExporer and select your iPad, open the Apps folder > iDoceo > on the list of folders, tap on TMP > CAPTURE and you will see a file named capturedvideo.MOV
