Category Folder was created by Jacobidy
Hi,
I'm loving the idea of the category feature, but I'm having trouble getting the folder column to average correctly. I'm using an A-E grade type.
The results in the 6 columns are A A B B B B and idoceo works out the average as an A. In another example results are E E E A A A and the average is still an A. Do I have to do something else to get this feature to work for me?
I've tried to select 'none' for the calculation option and then just entering my own overall result, but it won't let me enter anything manually.
Also is there a 'cheat sheet' for the formulas functions - what they mean and how to put them together to create your own formula?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Jacobidy,
The average on a category (or a calculation > average) takes into account the assigned percentage on each grade.
I'm guessing they are not properly configured or the distance between each grade is not equal which may yield odd results.
From iDoceo's main screen > Three dots button (top central bar) > Edit the one you are working with an make sure A (or A+) has a valid percentage (i.e. 90-95) and you have values assigned all the way down to E
Regarding those formulas, we do not have many tutorials about each function but do not hesitate to post any questions here.
This is the first stop for formulas
