I can not find a section on sorting columns in the iDoceo manual. Can anyone tell me where it is?
I have been able to sort numbers and grades. However I am now experiencing problems on some columns - they won't sort. I am using the same procedure as before:
tap to bring up sort option
select sort and 'name 1 name 2 name 3 and column appear
select column option and it becomes highlighted
don't de-select 'sort by group first' (have not been able to find out what this does), leave it ticked
then select the sort button
a list of columns appear
I find the one I want sorted and select the box
this normally sorts the column
this is not happening anymore for columns with numbers in
however it still seems to work for grades within the same tab
I've shut down and opened the app
I've restarted the iPad
suggestions?

The sort options are explained here, under 'Changing the students sort order'
www.idoceo.net/index.php/en/grade-book-a...tudents-row-position
You can sort them at will from Tools > Students
From this window the sort option is available as well.
If it is not sorting by numbers it probably is because the column you are working with has a text based grade type. Double tap on header > Grade type and select hear a generic number based grade (or none at all)
