Empty rubric cells - how to ignore in calculations

In one of our rubrics we have a scale from 1 to 5. For one row, a student can only get a 1 or a 2 and not a 3,4 or 5.

Is there a way to ignore these empty cells for the purposes of calculations as they throw out the grades when calculating?

I will go and try a formula to convert the grade ... That may work. But any thoughts in the meantime would be welcome!

I'm afraid there is no way to do that automatically. You will have to work with a formula.
