Planner and periods are driving me nuts! was created by Scvales
My schedule is planned, with a registration time, 2 periods, break time, 1 period, lunch time, 2 periods. When I add note in the diary of the class, the planner calls them the wrong names. It doesn't seem to matter how many periods I have active or what their names are... My last period of the day is called period 1?!
I love this app but cannot figure out how to use both working modes together. I can provide pictures if you don't understand whats happening? Thanks if you can help!

Hello Scvales,
The period is assigned when you configure the schedule.
If you open a particular week, tap and hold on a class > Edit . You will see the one you've configured.
The schedule will take into account the start/end times of all your classes but not its assigned period and the planner will take into account the period but not its start/end times. I'm guessing the confusion is around this.
The order of your periods as shown in the planner will always be the same, no matter how you configure your start/end times. The actual order is shown in Settings / Planner. By default it goes from Period 1 to 20 but I'm guessing you've changed the names to something more meaningful.
If still can't sort it out, let me know.
Regards

Thanks, kinda sorted it. Wow, that seems like the strangest thing! I configured the timetable in the easy working mode and that doesn't give you the option. Now when I change to the other working mode and edit them, sometimes its just deleting random periods off my timetable. This is very annoying! I thought I'd sorted it using the above method but then when you switch back over, they default back...
Thnks for trying to help

Yeah this just doesn't work... I've tried numerous times and when changing what one period should be called, I press save and it deletes the period below. Why can't you just name the periods in simple mode?!

You can't keep changing from 'compact' to 'full-size' mode since they are completely different systems, I'm not sure if you are referring to that.
If you need the planner, you must stay in full-size mode.
On the other hand, if you assign the same period to two different classes, one will replace the other. You can only have one period per class

Didn't know that you couldn't keep changing! Also I figured out about the replacement period thing. Thanks again. I think I'll keep it in the simple mode for now!
