Printing markbook was created by Damo
Hi there Bert-

I need to print my entire mark book for a whole class, including attendance symbols, for another teacher I am handing a class over to. Is there a way of doing this? When I open as a pdf to print all attendance symbols are missing. Thanks hopefully you have a solution!

Kind regards

Hi Damo,
I'm assuming you're exporting with the 'Report' option, is that it?
The fastest way to include all those icons is exporting to PDF as an alternative (the first option from the export list) , that is almost like taking a picture of the whole page in your mark book.
If that PDF isn't an option, and you still want to use that 'Report', let me know, and I'll explain in detail how to include those icons.
In short, you have to use the Report (expert mode) instead. Here some instructions in case you'd like to give it a try
Regards

Hi Bert - thanks for this. Unfortunately to print a page of mark book as a "photo" doesn't help as the mark book covers a whole year! The pdf photo thus only covers the first 4 lessons. Tried the expert report too and all the attendance symbols are missing. Any further help greatly appreciated

Many thanks for the speedy response!

Give this PDF below a look and you'll see what I meant by a 'Photo' , it includes a hundred columns if necessary!
This is done with the PDF export

File Name: hd14717e.pdf
File Size:1,029 KB

Give me a few minutes and I'll explain the other option

You'll find a detailed explanation here and a short video

But in short:
- From the mark book view, tap on export > Report (Expert mode)
- Tap on All (toolbar below) and on the Blue button in that same toolbar a couple of times.
That blue button represents the icons in a cell, and you'll see right away that icons get enabled in all the columns you've selected.
The yellow button represents the text in a cell, if you need larger cells, tap a couple of times on it.
- Now tap on Export (or mail) and you'll get a nice PDF with your text and icons in it

It works! Thank you. In future would be good if it could print/save in landscape view as looks a bit odd but may be something I'm doing wrong!

Thanks again much appreciated
