finding events in the planner

I'm probably just missing something, but I can't figure out how to schedule a meeting or non-routine event so that it shows up in the planner. If I schedule it as an event, it only shows up in "events", which are so rare for me that I don't check that tab. Is there no way to have a meeting show up in the planner that i'm looking at from hour to hour, so that when I look at my planning for the day I see a meeting scheduled at lunchtime, for example, or another period when I don't normally teach?

You're not missing it. In the current version, the events will only show up in the diary either in the day/week or month view, but not in the planner yet. We'll add that feature in our next major update.
