Calculations on individual categories of Rubric data

Hi, I was wondering if it would be possible to perform calculations on categories within a rubric, say for example I have a weekly assessment that has 4 categories (check screenshot) and I would like to extract totals,average... at the end of each marking period. Is that possible? How does one do it if so?

P.s. there might be an easier way to do this and I’ve not seen it, could someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks again.

You could do that with a formula, selecting those particular categories in rubrics but it depends on the number of rubrics you plan on using in the gradebook
The 'official' solution would be to use the key skills or standards. You assign them to particular categories in the rubric and the results will automatically show up in the 'Summary' tab in the gradebook.

Hi Bert, I actually created the rubric and assigned a standard to each category. I plan on using this rubric only across the marking period and hence the calculated fields would be based only on each one of these categories only. So I guess the Summary solution would be more appropriate, eventhough I would like to know how both systems would work.
