Move a student to a different class was created by CAReynolds
My school moves students around between classes all the time as they try to find the right fit. Is it possible to move a student in iDoceo? I tried copying the student to a new class, which does add the student to the new class, but does not bring in any of the grades. How do I get all the student's data from one class into a different class?

Hi Bert,

I think maybe my question got caught in the shuffle during the holiday season, but I never got a reply on this one. But now I have more than one student who has been moved into a different class. How do I go about moving student data, attendance and grades from one class to another? And if there isn't a way, please add that to the wish list - you should just have to choose from a list of classes to move a student into a new class. Or even a way to copy everything for that student to a new class, so that you have a record of the grades & attendance during the time spent in each class.

Hello Cynthia,
In the current version you can't move the student's grades into a new class since the columns are unique on each class and there is no direct correlation between them.
We will try to improve this in the future but it involves a complex solution.
As a possible alternative, after copying the students to the target class, you can copy a whole tab (tap and hold on a tab > Copy) from the original class and data will be transferred for those students present in both the target and source classes. I know it is far from ideal but this may work for you.
