Multiple Groups? was created by Danne
I teach several different subject areas to the same class and will have them in different groups for various activities. Is it possible to have the same class divided different ways for different tabs? And can you change those groups as things in your class change without altering any previous data?

Hi Danne,
The students in a class will be shown in all tabs the same. And changes in a student will reflect in other tabs as well.
You can assign a student to a group or groups, and then use the 'Students Filter' on the top bar, to show only that specific group in the gradebook. It is a manual filter though, but I think it would by useful to link a tab with that group/filter for complex distributions. Noted for future updates

You could add the required groups in the same Group parameter of a student.
Lets say for example we assign 3 groups : A1 B1 C1 (separated by a space, or a comma would do). The Students filter is a simple text matcher, so as long as you look for A1 , or B1 or C1, that student will appear.
Hope this helps!
