Calculating totals

Calculating totals was created by ACP
Hi,

I've just started using Idoceo, and think it has the potential to be exactly what I want. However I'm having a few problems totalling marks.

I want to record the marks for each question in a test, then automatically find the total. I've created 9 columns, one for each question and recorded each student's mark for the relevant question in the relevant cell. I've also created a "Total" column and used the calculus function to add the scores. I've tried to weight them all as 100%, but although this is fine for the first 8 columns, it does not seem to want to allow 100% for the 9th column, and keeps reverting to 0, ignoring the score for the last question.

Is there anything I can do about this?

Hi ACP,
Yes, it is a known bug on our current version. We're aware of it and it has been solved for our next release.
As it might take a while for the next release to be available on the app store, here is a workaround:

The idea is to separate the single 'total' column into two separate operations, in the screenshot, total 1 takes into account the first five columns, total 2 the rest. Then we add a new column that adds both totals (100% each). You can move the intermediate columns (total1 and total2) and hide its from screen so you only see your grand total.

Please let us know how that worked for you.
Thanks for contacting us.

That worked well, thank you. Is there a maximum number of columns which can be combined to give a subtotal?

Hi ACP,
There is no limit in the number of combined columns.
The only limit has to do with the number of nested calculations (a calculus on a calculus involving any number of columns), you can have up to 20 nested operations.
If you feel there is some feature missing, please post them here, we rely on our users feedback to improve our app.
Regards and sorry for the inconvenience, we're working hard on the upcoming release!

Hola, buenas tardes.

Saludos
