Column Headings was created by Mathsbuzz
Hi Bert,

I have a mark book from last year with dates in the column heading. There is a column for each day of the academic year. I wish to reuse it but obviously change the dates to current year. Changing them manually would mean doing it nearly 200 times. Is there a shortcut?

Also when I tried to manually edit the column heading, I expected the date to be the date in the column so that I would be able to slide the year but unfortunately, it shows today's date and changing the date becomes too tedious. Help please!

Kind regards

Helllo Mathsbuzz,
Dates can't be changed in bulk since they won't necessarily match any particular sequence in following years.
In case this helps, you can remove the dates of all columns in bulk: From the gradebook view > Tools > Columns > All > Edit > Date but the next step of assigning your dates won't be any easier.

Hi Bert,

Thanks for the reply. In the dates, I only need to change the year part. So 04/05/2018 needs to be changed to 04/05/2019. I am sure that you will be able to think of a way. Even if the date shows as 04/05/2018 when I try to edit, it will be quite easy to change the year.

Another question - is it possible to clear the “Column Heading” field from multiple columns?

Thanks

I'm afraid it can't be done at the moment.
If you'd like to create columns in bulk, according to your schedule:
- Configure a favorite column first (add column > Favorite) with the desired configuration
- Add column > Multiple columns > Favorite to choose the start/End dates

iDoceo will create a new column - with the favorite's configuration - for each day your class is scheduled at.
