When creating a new class, there is a switch to turn on/off high precision calculations next to the HD-icon.

I haven‘t found in the docs what this means. Can anybody explain?

Kind regards, Tom

Hello Tom,
High precision calculations is still an experimental feature and that is why you can't see any info on our web.

In the default calculation mode, if you choose a rounding for a column/calculation this new rounded value (shown in the cell) is the one taken into account for next calculations. What you see is what you get. This also means that rounding several times the results of a columns will truncate some decimals.

In high precision mode, the original value of all cells is kept and rounding features are only applied when displaying data on the cell but internally, the full number is taken into account for your calculations hence the 'high precision'. You do not lose precision by rounding calculations N times.

This mode was meant for very particular calculations but if you have any trouble do let me know

OK, thank you. So, for me turning the option off, is the appropriate solution. I was unsure if or how this changes the results, but now that‘s clear.
