If the app gets removed from the iPad, does the data get removed as well?

We push out iDoceo via a device management system (Airwatch). One users device was removed and re-enrolled to the system. During this time the apps which are pushed down from Airwatch were removed and reinstalled automatically. All signs point to yes from what I have found, but could I confirm if this would remove all of the users previous data from the iPad? Would it need to have been backed up to an external source (dropbox, google drive, onedrive, etc) for it to be retrieved?

Thanks
Rob

Hello Rob,
Yes, if the app gets removed, its data is removed as well.
iDoceo is an offline app and all data is locally stored in the device ( privacy policy )
A backup before erasing the app is the only way to retrieve data afterwards
