TOPIC: copying formulas to another class

copying formulas to another class 3 years 11 months ago #6987

Hi all
Anyone got the clue for copying a formula that has been created in a column of one class to a different class. Can't seem to activate copy function when in the formula, also tried copying column with formula to another class but does not seem to take the formula with it - any ideas please.
Just started using formulas and functions - isn't idoceo the best thing that has happened in teaching - that and google classroom.

Hello Greg,
Formulas can't be copied individually because the columns they are referring to do not exist in the target class.
Here is a couple of alternatives:

If you copy the whole tab, formulas will transfer: long tab on tab > copy
If you select all columns involved in the formula + formula and copy it should work as well:tools > columns > select your columns > copy
If the formula belongs to a category and alll required columns are inside the category, copying it to another class will keep everything intact: long tap
on category header > copy
Please take a moment to add or update your rating for iDoceo 7 teacher gradebook so that we can continue working on it. Thanks!
