OneDrive for Business Integration was created by disco_samurai
Hi there

Firstly just wanted to say how much the teachers at our school love iDoceo!

Secondly I was wondering if you were planning on adding OneDrive for Business support to iDoceo in the near future? As this is the version of OneDrive that school Office 365 installs use I think it would be a huge advantage if iDoceo supported it in the future (rather than just the Personal OneDrive support we have now). At the moment I've had alot of disappointed teachers who want to attach files from their OneDrive areas but cannot (same for backing up).

Any idea if you are planning on adding such integration in the near future?

Many thanks and keep up the great work

Neal

Thanks for contacting us Neal,

We put a lot of effort in this version 4 and really appreciate your comments!

Let me clarify below the One Drive for Business situation.

When we first added One Drive support in iDoceo, we expected OneDrive for Business to work as well but we found out later on that Microsoft was still using their old SharePoint API and was not compatible with the new One Drive platform. They use two different authentication methods and truly misleading names.

Apparently, Microsoft is working on this and they are updating their APIs to properly support One Drive for Business. Find below an image of their Developer center (dev.onedrive.com). It is now in 'preview', a 'work in progress' and not ready for production.

Once their work is finished we will consider a native implementation.

However, please note that iDoceo's backups and resources support iOS8 extensions and if Microsoft releases their OneDrive for Business extension you will be able to use it without further delay.

Here is an image of the option to store those backups using extensions. Google Drive, Dropbox, Box and many others have created extensions already.

If I can be of further assistance, do not hesitate to post.

Kind regards

Hi Kettle,
The 'To other locations' still works, make sure you have installed the most recent one drive app from Microsoft
