Right, I have 4 different marks out of 10 in different columns, then the cumulative column out of 40, then the absolute percentage of those marks in a fifth column. In the next one, I want to generate text based grades automatically off either the cumulative or the percentages column, but this seems to create a clash between different values. It's either giving everyone over 90% or no grade at all.
Any ideas anyone?

Hi Ben,
I'm using your last configuration, hope there hasn't been much change since then!
Here is what I think you need :

And here the piece I think you need to configure. In this particular case because you are using a total of 4 columns without a grade type, the percent value must be 2.5 . I know may sound a bit weird, but if the maximum possible value is 40, to be then represented as a percent of success , 2.5*40=100%
