Good morning Sslater!

I think the problem is with the cycles concept. You should work in Week mode instead, not in Cycle.

When in week mode, copying a week to the rest of the calendar will keep your Monday classes in Monday, all Tuesdays will be the same, Wednesdays, and so on... Holidays will not change this and you can add its afterwards. That is why I didn't mention any holidays at all!
The important part is to 'Repeat every 2 weeks' when copying. This is what will create the A/B week pattern.

Cycles on the other hand, are required by some schools in Canada and Australia and their calendar is a bit more complex. In Quebec for example they work with 9 day cycles, but it could be any other combination. This means that on a given date, they begin with day 1, and move on to day 2 the next day, but the actual day of the week is not important.
To make this 'easier', some holidays may or may not bump those cycles forward. In short, no Monday is always the same in those calendars and there is no way to know in which day of the cycle you're in, that is unless you put it in a calendar.

Now, back to your configuration, once you have those two weeks in the schedule (again!), follow the steps about copying Weeks, and not cycles. Here's a short video that should make this a bit easier

Please do not erase that calendar again! I know it takes time to configure it, and I'm pretty sure we can sort it out without beginning from scratch.

Morning! Thanks bert, but this isn't the problem... Yes my Monday is always on a Monday etc. the problem is that when we are on a week 1 and then have a weeks holiday it brings me back on a week 1, it includes the holidays in the cycle. I've now inputted it again as you suggested so am in the same situation again (2 weekly cycles are in, but are incorrect around hols)

As Sod's law would have it, I have been at this stage before and remember setting it to "exclude holidays in the cycle" just can't remember how to do it now and also don't know if this is possible in retrospect having already set it up! :(

I see! I thought you meant specific days, not whole weeks.

Maybe it is way easier to manually copy those weeks where you'd like to, and forget about the 'Automatic copy' option.

Our next update, iDoceo 3.1, will soon be ready and the Undo option will keep track of all your changes, so that you can go back any number of steps without having to restart again.
I'm not sure about your timeframe, but the new version will be available in 2 weeks and working with the calendar will be easier with that new Undo.

Here's how to manually copy those weeks :
- Select your week A in the calendar and tap on Manual Copy
- Tap on the weeks of your calendar that should have that Week A, you'll see they're copied right away and you'll be able to skip those pesky holidays
- Once finished, tap on End copy

Ok so I've done that thanks, had to go in and change each week after the first hol so this isn't ideal and I'm sure as I said earlier that I did at some point set this up with an option to exclude holidays in the cycle. I will need to keep making changes to my schedule over the next few weeks when we get more info in, and have just added registration for example. Is there a way of telling it to copy these changes into the rest of the calendar cause doing this each time there is a change is going to get very tedious! Thanks again for this help bert :)
