Videos and photos are blank in the gradebooks was created by james.me.robinson
In my department, we are using optimized iPad storage which means that the videos are being uploaded to our iCloud accounts. We can access these photos and videos through the Photo app, however the videos and photos on iDoceo are blank and we cannot view them. This means we have no easy way of seeing what videos are attached to a pupil.
Is there a bug or something we need to do so that the videos work again?

Hello James,
Do you mean you can't see them when attaching them in iDoceo or that you can't see them afterwards?
If they are blank after attaching them it means they have moved from their previous location (and have been assigned a different UDID by Apple) and iDoceo won't be able to locate them. Technically, they are different files.

Hi Bert,

Thanks for getting back to me.

They are videos that were attached several weeks or months ago and are now blank when trying to view them through the grade book. The videos have uploaded to our iCloud storage to save space on the iPad but the files are still in the photo app, they just get downloaded when you click on them.

Will these not work then?

It won't work if they have been moved after attaching them to iDoceo.

Every time a photo/video is moved to a different location its -sort of- filename changes too and the original file linked to iDoceo no longer exists. This has to do with how Apple handles the unique identifiers of photos and it is out of our control.
