Welcome Aboss,

iDoceo is an offline app, meaning that all the information you enter stays in your iPad.

There are a 'couple' of nuances though (all related to backups):

- When you perform a backup in Dropbox, your data will be stored in your private online Dropbox account.
- Backup data is stored as a zip file, but it is not encrypted. We're working on it for our next update.
- If you have iCloud automatic backup system enabled (in System Settings/iCloud), all your iPad's data is stored in Apple's servers. Everything is encrypted and secured, but the fact is that it is stored outside your iPad.

You can protect your iPad's data in several ways:
- Enable your iPad's passcode . In (System) Settings/General / Passcode Lock
- Enable iDoceo's passcode . In (System) Settings/ iDoceo / Password protection.
iDoceo's passcode is far less secure than the iPad's system passcode, if you are really concerned about security, iPad's passcode is the way to go.

If something isn't clear enough, please let me know.

Regards,

PS: You'll be able to backup to iCloud or WebDAV as alternative backup methods in this week's update, but the main issue still remains. Data will be copied to another 'computer' different than your iPad as this is the main point of doing a backup!
