IF formula that checks for icons in a field

I have a formula that checks a column for what level a child is in and then calculate their percentage result on their spelling test. See image that I have included with this post (hopefully it worked!)

If the student is away, I put an icon in the field and no result.

How do I write a formula that checks for an icon and returns an icon in the calculation cell or the words "Away" please?

You will see here how to count icons in a formula, the third method. Regarding the 'Away' or icon result, it can't be done yet. But you can count on it for our next update. We'll contact you once the beta is available in case you'd like to give it a try.
