Timeline tab showing error was created by brettm
In the Timeline side-tab under Diary I have an error:

"No periods configured in the calendar for these dates 2/2015 - 2/2017. Select a different date"

In Options under Planner, I have 5 periods set up and have used them to create my weekly schedule. This has gone across to the Planner and then into Diary Planner where I plan my lessons.

But nothing is showing in Timeline ... any thoughts please?

Thank you,
Brett

Hello brettm,
If the timeline can't find a period it is because it isn't actually configured on these dates.

As a simple test:
- Open your schedule, look for a date where this class is apparently scheduled
- Tap and hold on it > Edit and you will see here that either the 'Class' field is empty or it belongs to a different class, not the one you need (maybe it's last year's?)

Okay Bert,

That is the one ... I did not have a class assigned as I am a Primary School teacher and if I assign a class then every period is the same colour as the one assigned to the class. I wanted to be able to have different colours for every subject that I teach so I have a visual planner that I show to my "visual" kids.

As I do not have a class then iDoceo uses the "Location" field - and that allows me to set "Maths" to red, "Integrated unit" to Blue and so on.

Two thoughts then:
1. It might be good to note in your manual that timeline will NOT show without a "Class" being assigned in schedule (or maybe I just missed it!)

2. When the next version comes out - can you include an option to adjust colours by subject for Primary Teachers who teach many subjects!? (Please, please!)

Thank you as always for your wonderful support.

Any hints on next version timeframe? and what it might include?!?

Regards,
Brett
