Real calculus examples: grading tests

In this example we'll use iDoceo to provide scores automatically based on a test result. 

In our example we'll use a sample test with 16 questions, being 0 the lowest achievable grade, and 16 the highest.

Our sample data to work with:


The first step is to assign to our column a grade type,  so that iDoceo knows what kind of data it holds. In the example we need a numeric grade from 0 to 16, if it is not created already, you can create it using these instructions . We'll call our new grade test over 16.

Now, lets assign this grade type to our column , tap&hold on the columns' header, edit ,and select grade type.

And now the final step, our test score. We'll add a new column, with the editor type Calculus and the grade type we want to translate the score to. For example a text grade from A to F , or a percent (numeric grade from 0 to 100). This is explained in detail here. In our calculation there will be a single column, its  configuration, should look like the image.


And the result will look like this (note that our A to F grade might have different weights):
